A portable Windows application for translating video game ROMs: extract the text, translate it in a dedicated editor, and rebuild a ROM that's ready to play — no assembly hacking required.
Free download. No installer — just unzip and run.
How it works
From a raw disc image to a finished translation, without leaving the application.
Open your disc or cartridge image in the tab for its console and see what game it found.
A character table maps raw bytes to readable text — found automatically or marked by hand.
Work through every line with a glossary, a status tracker, and live length warnings.
Pointers are relocated automatically and a finished image or patch is generated.
Features
A single, focused toolset covering the whole path from raw game data to a translated ROM.
Map each byte, or sequence of bytes, to the character it represents — including compressed multi-character sequences some games use.
Automatic heuristic scan, or set exact address ranges yourself.
Status tracking, glossary, and length checks as you type.
When a translated line changes length, references to it are updated automatically so nothing breaks in-game.
Save your work, come back later, export or import a project to move it between machines.
A complete translated disc image, or a compact IPS patch to share without distributing the original game.
Consoles
Every supported console gets its own tab, built on the same translation toolkit.
Disc image loading, region and title detection, and a complete extraction-to-injection pipeline, tuned for the Saturn's file formats.
Additional consoles will be added over time, each as its own tab alongside Saturn.
Design
Built to stay out of the way of your system.
Unzip the folder and run the executable. Nothing to click through, nothing to accept.
Settings, projects and logs are kept next to the executable — nothing touches the registry.
Copy the folder to a USB drive or another machine and it picks up right where it left off.
A calm, uncluttered Fluent-style window that stays legible whatever your Windows theme is set to.
Questions
